Milwaukee, Wis. — Froedtert Health was recognized third among the nation’s top workplaces for weaving Equity, Diversity and Inclusion into the fabric of our organization’s culture.
“We were recognized as third among the “Top 10 Diversity Action Award” winners by the Association of ERGs & Councils for developing a strategy and structure to ensure that diversity and inclusion touches every aspect of our organization,” said Andres Gonzalez, vice president and chief diversity officer, Froedtert Health.
“A main component that helped drive our 2020 Diversity Impact Awards “Top 10 Diversity Action Award” was our diversity teams taking an active role in shaping our COVID-19 rapid response. We offered virtual resources to our staff and the community, such as partnering with MKE Film to provide streaming movies about minority health issues through the ‘Sofa Cinema’ series. We also used robust race, ethnicity and language preference data to ensure we are addressing all of our communities’ health needs and informing how we support our staff during the pandemic.”
The Diversity Impact Awards™ was launched in 2020 and is the next iteration of the ERG & Council Honors Award™. The ERG & Council Honors Award™ was the first, and until recently, the only annual national award that recognized and honored the outstanding contributions and achievements of Employee Resource Groups, Business Resource Groups and Diversity Councils. It was established in 2008 by the Association of ERGs & Councils, a practice group of diversity and inclusion consulting and training firm, PRISM International, Inc.
