Why did you choose to pursue a residency?

My interest in Drug Information began while on rotation in UW-Madison’s Drug Policy Program, where I quickly realized I wanted to pursue a career in this area. A specialized residency in Drug Information offers a balance of independent and guided experiences that will benefit anyone interested in pursuing a career in this exciting field. Overall, I feel that residency is a unique opportunity to see health systems from many perspectives — the variety of rotations and experiences allows one to better understand health care delivery, refine clinical skills, and discover new areas of interest.

What attracted you to the Froedtert & MCW pharmacy residency program?

I was interested in the Froedtert & MCW PGY2 Drug Information residency program since my experience at UW-Madison. This residency program was appealing because it offers experiences where I may effect positive change across the health system through a variety of critical committees (e.g., P&T), clinical programs (e.g., antimicrobial stewardship), and processes (e.g., supply chain management). Importantly, I am excited to work with the pharmacists and staff who are truly committed to my success!
