Steve Basilotto
Senior Vice President, Chief Experience Officer, Froedtert Health
Steve Basilotto serves as chief experience officer for Froedtert Health, charged with identifying and executing leading edge opportunities to provide customers, patients and staff with an experience they want and value.
Steve draws upon his 30 years of pairing a people-centric approach with technology and analytics to deliver consumer-guided innovations. His additional responsibilities for corporate marketing, communications, strategic planning, performance measurement, innovation and a digital health company for Froedtert Health, directly support the creation of an atmosphere of engagement and discovery.
Steve’s direct-to-customer experience spans financial services, health insurance, technology and now health provision services. In recent years, he served as head of enterprise consumer experience and consumer service operations for Aetna. Previously, Steve was COO of USAA Bank, a US financial services firm consistently recognized at the top of Forrester’s annual US Customer Experience Index. Prior to USAA, Steve held senior leadership positions in operations, technology, analytics and strategy at HSBC, GE Capital and Fidelity Investments.
Steve’s refreshing approach inspires purpose-driven customer interactions grounded in respect, possibility and fun. His team members describe his leadership style as emotionally intuitive and collaborative. Jim Bremenkamp
Vice President of Business Administration IT Strategy
Jim serves as the principal technology advisor to the administrative (non-clinical) business leaders and a champion for leading information technology transformation. He leads efforts to shape IT strategy based on business demands, focusing on business value to develop ideas and solutions.
Most recently, Jim served as system director of IT corporate applications for Advocate Aurora Health, Milwaukee. In that position he led a team in managing 300-plus IT solutions for more than 50 leaders, spanning compliance, legal, library, marketing, credentialing, innovation, physical security, facility operations, clinical engineering, food and nutrition, philanthropy functions, as well as oversight of enterprise custom software engineering for solutions that were not available within the market.
Jim is a Milwaukee native who lives in Mequon with his wife and three boys. He is actively involved in coaching youth sports.
Susan Campbell, RN, MBA
Senior Vice President, Service Lines
Susan Campbell joins Froedtert Health as senior vice president-service lines at Froedtert Health after serving in her most recent role as senior vice president at Kaufman Hall. Susan brings more than two decades of experience to serve as Froedtert Health’s principal executive in the advancement of the system’s market share growth.
She previously served as director of operations for the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute (BCVI) at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. In that role, she led initiatives for the new cardiovascular program, including development and oversight of strategy and service line operations such as finance, marketing and philanthropy. During her tenure, the institute moved from unranked to 9th in the nation in the 2015 U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals Rankings for Cardiology and Heart Surgery, five years ahead of a hospital goal.
In addition to holding several other titles during her 11-year tenure at Northwestern, Susan also served as manager of Strategy and Transformation for the Health Care Consulting Practice at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, LLC. She also held several roles at Rush Medical Center, including data/research/strategy manager for the Department of Cardiovascular-Thoracic Surgery, and senior quality improvement consultant.
Susan has an MBA in finance, marketing and health services management from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and bachelor's degrees in nursing and biology from Rockhurst University, Kansas City, Mo.
Eric L. Conley
Executive Vice President, Froedtert Health
President, Froedtert Hospital
Eric L. Conley is president of Froedtert Hospital and executive vice president of Froedtert Health. He is responsible for the overall functions of the hospital. Eric leads the execution of performance goals with respect to strategic priorities and plans in the areas of service, quality, staff development, growth and finance; coordinating operational performance among system entities with oversight of ambulatory services in partnership with the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Eric joined the health system in July 2018 as senior vice president and chief operating officer for Froedtert Hospital. He was named hospital president and executive vice president of the health system in 2020.
In addition to Eric’s leadership responsibilities, he serves on the board of the United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County, Vivent Health, The Leverage Network, the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and the National Association of Health Service Executives (NAHSE). He is also a member of NAHSE.
Prior to joining Froedtert Health, Eric served as vice president of service lines and surgical services for KentuckyOne Health, and as vice president of operations for Northwestern Memorial Hospital, an 854 bed academic medical center and primary teaching hospital for Northwestern University in Chicago.
Debbie Cray
Vice President, Chief Data and Analytics Officer, Froedtert Health and The Medical College of Wisconsin
Debbie Cray joined the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network as vice president, chief data and analytics officer in August 2021.
Debbie previously served as the director of Enterprise Analytics at UW Health where she led the Analytics Center of Excellence and successfully integrated data and analytics into operations and clinical activities. She grew organizational data literacy and adoption, developed staff into high value analysts and advanced the analytic maturity across the health system and academic enterprise.
Debbie’s executive presence and communication skills, paired with her background in analytics and industrial engineering degree from Northwestern University, make her a welcome addition to our health network.
Tina Curtis
Vice President, Cancer Services
Tina Curtis, DNP, MBA, RN, NEA-BC, is the vice president of Cancer Services for Froedtert Health. Tina is accountable for the operations and strategic planning of Cancer Services. She drives Cancer Services growth for the health system and leads the expansion of the Froedtert & MCW Cancer Network Affiliation program in partnership with physician and clinical leaders and other health systems throughout Wisconsin.
Tina joined Froedtert Hospital in 2005. She previously served as executive director for Cancer Services and over the past 15 years held a variety of leadership positions within Froedtert Health. She started as a staff nurse in the Emergency Department/Trauma Center at Froedtert Hospital and quickly moved to nursing leadership roles. Prior to that she was a nurse at Children’s Wisconsin and began her career as a Forensic Investigator with the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Tina earned a Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Healthcare Systems Leadership, a Master of Science, in Nursing — Healthcare Systems Leadership and a Master of Business Administration degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee. She also received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and a bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Tina is certified as a Nurse Executive — Advanced and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. She currently sits on the board of directors for Kathy’s House in Wauwatosa.
Tina lives in Greendale, Wis., with her husband Lanny, son Blake and daughter Brynn.
Ryan Dopirak, MD, MS-HQS, CPE
President, Froedtert Northeast Medical Group
As the president of Froedtert Northeast Medical Group, Ryan Dopirak, MD, MS-HQS, CPE, is responsible for leadership of the physicians and advanced practice providers, including recruitment and retention, workplace culture, patient experience, financial performance and redesign of care to ensure quality targets are met or exceeded. Dr. Dopirak has a pro-growth mindset and a direct, transparent communication style. He firmly believes that an ideal culture is the foundation upon which a high performing medical group is built.
Dr. Dopirak earned his master’s degree in healthcare quality and safety from the Thomas Jefferson University College of Population Health. He was also awarded the Certified Physician Executive designation from the American Association for Physician Leadership. He has published, lectured and served on national committees in the areas of practice management, physician recruitment, marketing and business development.
Dr. Dopirak is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who completed a fellowship in arthroscopic surgery and sports medicine. He continues to practice as he serves in this leadership role.
Jordan Dow
Vice President, Chief Pharmacy Officer
Jordan Dow, PharmD, serves as vice president and chief pharmacy officer for the Froedtert & MCW health network. He accepted this role in July 2022. Jordan is responsible for the successful achievement of goals and objectives, optimizing resources and maintaining compliance with all regulatory bodies. He also serves as both assistant dean for the Medical College of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy and the president of Froedtert Health Pharmacy Solutions.
Jordan most recently served as the regional director of pharmacy for Mayo Clinic. There, he had oversight of medication management and 100 staff, physicians and clinicians across five hospital locations. Before that, Jordan was clinical pharmacy manager and then director of the Center for Medication Utilization & Finance at the Froedtert & MCW health network.
Jordan completed a combined PGY-1, PGY-2 residency in health-system pharmacy administration at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. He earned an undergraduate degree in molecular biology, a doctor of pharmacy and a master’s degree in health-system pharmacy administration at the University of Wisconsin. He is a preceptor for pharmacy students, pharmacy residents and healthcare administration students.
Jordan is an active member of the American Society of Hospital Pharmacists, Vizient, Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Diane Ehn
Vice President, Post-Acute Care
Diane Ehn serves as the Froedtert Health vice president of post-acute care. Diane’s responsibilities include developing strong partnerships with nursing homes, home health agencies, DME, hospice, rehab facilities, senior living and long term acute care hospitals. In her role, she collaborates with the post-acute facilities to align and manage patient care along a continuum. The partnerships focus on quality and safety through optimal care plans and communication workflows between sites of care.
Diane has spent more than 30 years devoted to the health system with past responsibilities overseeing quality, safety, regulatory and case management for the Community Hospital Division. She is passionate about supporting the needs of our community by bridging care between the health system and post-acute sites creating a seamless experience for our patients.
Diane graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in health information management and received a master’s degree in organizational leadership and quality from Marian University.
Allen Ericson
President, Community Hospital Division, and President, Froedtert West Bend Hospital
Allen Ericson is the president of the Community Hospital Division and president of Froedtert West Bend Hospital. Ericson leads Froedtert West Bend Hospital and oversees the strategic direction and daily operations of the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Community Hospital Division, which includes Froedtert West Bend Hospital and Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital.
Ericson has more than 26 years of health care leadership experience in numerous settings. He was previously the senior vice president and chief operating officer of Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, N.H. Catholic Medical Center is a 330-bed facility in the largest city in New Hampshire.
Prior to Catholic Medical Center he was chief operating officer of Memorial Hospital of Salem County, N.J., part of the for-profit health system of Community Health Systems. Ericson has a Master of Business Administration from Widener University in Chester, Penn., and his bachelor’s degree in economics from Rutgers University, Camden, N.J. He is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and a veteran of the United States Air Force, Medical Service Corps.
Caryn Esten
Senior Vice President, Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer
Caryn Esten serves as senior vice president, chief strategy and transformation officer. In this role, Caryn has responsibility for key enterprise business functions including strategic planning, implementation and integration. Prior to joining Froedtert Health in 2005, she held leadership roles with companies in the interactive marketing and financial services industries.
Caryn holds a Master of Business Administration degree, a Master of Science degree in Computer Science with an emphasis in adult education, and a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, with majors in accounting, marketing and management information systems from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee.
An active community leader, Caryn currently serves as president of the Board of Directors of First Stage, a Milwaukee-based children’s theater company and as a member of the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center Board of Directors. She is also a member of the College of Undergraduate Studies Advisory Council for Cardinal Stritch University, the Next Generation Leadership Council for the United Performing Arts Fund, and the PRIDE United Leadership Council for the United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County.
Amir Ghaferi, MD, MSc, MBA
President, Physician Enterprise; Senior Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs – Adult Practice
Amir A. Ghaferi, MD, MSc, MBA, is the president of the Medical College of Wisconsin Physician Enterprise, and Senior Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs – Adult Practice. In this role, he leads Medical College Physicians and the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Community Physicians practices.
Dr. Ghaferi received a Bachelor of Science in Physiological Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, and his medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery training at the University of Michigan where he was a health research fellow in UM’s Department of Surgery and earned a Master of Science in Health and Health Care Research from the Rackham Graduate School. Additionally, Dr. Ghaferi received a Master of Business Administration from the Executive MBA Program at the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business.
Dr. Ghaferi formerly served as chief clinical officer at the University of Michigan where he was the Moses Gunn, MD, Professor of Surgery and director of the Michigan Bariatric Surgery Collaborative. Dr. Ghaferi is the immediate past-president of the Association for Academic Surgery (the largest academic surgical association in the country) and past-president of the Surgical Outcomes Club (the largest surgical health services research group in the world).
Dr. Ghaferi grew up in the Los Angeles area where he trained in the martial arts for over 15 years. He holds a third-degree black belt in Hapkido karate.
Andres Gonzalez
Vice President, Community Engagement, and Chief Diversity Officer
Andres Gonzalez, vice president, community engagement, and chief diversity officer for Froedtert Health, is responsible for overseeing the integration of diversity initiatives throughout the organization, including expanding workforce diversity and strengthening community relationships.
Prior to joining Froedtert Health, Gonzalez was chief diversity and inclusion officer at Baystate Health System, an integrated health care delivery system in Springfield, Mass. He also spent five years at Cleveland Clinic as director of diversity, community outreach and supplier diversity. In both positions, Gonzalez created and championed programs and processes to foster and sustain cultural competence.
Gonzalez has a master’s degree in education and a bachelor of science degree in biology, both from Cleveland State University. He completed Cornell University’s industrial and labor relations-diversity executive program in 2014, and is a credentialed Cornell certified diversity professional/advanced practitioner. He also has served as a diversity consultant for a number of national companies and organizations.
Jacob J. Groenewold
Vice President, Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer
Jake Groenewold joined Froedtert Health as vice president and chief supply chain officer in August 2021. In this role, Jake plans, directs and manages enterprise supply chain activities for the regional health network. This includes overseeing more than 170 personnel in key areas such as the Integrated Service Center, procurement, logistics and distribution.
With more than 30 years of experience in healthcare, Jake previously served as the area vice president and chief resource officer for AMITA Health in Illinois and Wisconsin, where he was responsible for supply chain management contracting, operations and logistics services for the 19-hospital system. Prior to AMITA, Jake served as the system vice president of supply chain at Presence Health in Chicago. Earlier in his career, Jake also held executive level positions with Vizient, Consorta, Premier, Owens and Minor and Lutheran General Health System.
Jake received his bachelor's degree in business administration from Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Mich., and his MBA from DePaul University in Chicago. He has many professional affiliations, including with the Health Care Financial Management Association (HFMA), the Association for Healthcare Resource and Materials Management (AHRMM) and the International Healthcare Federation.
Sherri Hauser
Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, Exceedent
Sherri oversees the operation teams at Exceedent, working to enhance operational effectiveness and ensuring compliance. Exceedent is a full-service third-party administrator that specializes in serving self-funded employers locally and nationally. Owned by Froedtert Health, Exceedent is headquartered in Menomonee Falls, Wis.
Prior to joining Exceedent/Froedtert Health in 2018, Sherri served for more than 10 years as senior vice president – chief operating officer at The Benefits Services Group and BSG Analytics, LLC, a benefit consultant and data analytics company located in Pewaukee, Wis. She was in charge of the overall operations, with a focus on health system clients and analytics. In this role, her consultation was instrumental in Exceedent's operational development.
Her prior experience includes working with the leadership team at Claim Management Services, Inc., a third party administrator and wholly-owned subsidiary of Anthem, where she worked with large employer health care coalitions to find unique ways to manage employer healthcare costs. This included provider negotiations, employer analytics and claim administration. Sherri holds her insurance licenses for life, accident and health. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. She was previously appointed by Governor Scott McCallum to the Wisconsin Bureau of Healthcare Information and she has served on the Board of Directors of the Wisconsin Coalition on Health.
With over 30 years of insurance and employee benefits industry experience in various roles, Sherri offers unique insights and perspectives in claims administration and data analytics.
Scott Hawig
Executive Vice President of Finance, Chief Financial and Administrative Officer and Treasurer
Scott Hawig, CPA, CMA, MBA, executive vice president of Finance, chief financial and administrative officer and treasurer, is responsible for all strategic and operational matters related to finance and administration for the health system including financial planning and budgeting, financial reporting, decision support, revenue cycle management, managed care contracting, insurance products and risk, supply chain operations, facilities planning and plant operations, information technology and strategic initiatives.
Hawig comes to Froedtert Health from Duke University Health System, Durham, North Carolina, where he served as the executive leader over the health system’s revenue cycle organization. In this role, he managed more than $2.8 billion in net revenue for three hospitals (including a large academic medical center,) a 1,300-member faculty practice plan and a primary care group.
He previously served as vice president of finance at Shands HealthCare at the University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida.
Hawig received his master’s degree in business administration from Duke University and bachelor’s degree in business administration in accounting and finance from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Leanna Hester
Vice President, IT Clinical Strategy
Leanna Hester joined Froedtert Health as vice president of IT clinical strategy in May 2022.
In this role, Leanna will partner with our clinical leaders in creating strategies for the adoption, enhancement and rationalization of our clinical application portfolio.
Leanna is a health care leader with a clinical background working as a RN. She has broad experience in IT and operational settings, leading teams and executing large projects. Her knowledge of clinical, revenue cycle and population health workflows, along with cross-client experiences allows her to anticipate areas of opportunity, risk and change management. Leanna has many years of Epic consulting experience with her tenure at Nordic consulting where she supported many Epic optimization strategies for multiple clients along with clinical nursing experience in an academic setting.
Leanna spent the last 15 years working with large health care organizations to build strategy, improve processes and drive outcomes. Most recently, Leanna served as vice president of advisory services at Curation Health. In that position, she developed the advisory division within Curation Health, using a client-centered approach to build successful value-based care strategies for clients. She led the team to deliver leading practices and design strategies to propel performance. Leanna excels at building relationships and fosters open communication within teams along with motivating them to deliver value.

Eric Humphrey
Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer
As senior vice president and chief human resources officer, Eric Humphrey provides executive-level HR leadership for the health network. This role in the Human Resources (HR) division encompasses leading compensation, benefits, internal wellness, talent delivery, HR services and analytics, internal occupational health, patient experience, organizational learning and organizational development. Eric also provides HR strategy for the health network and leadership roles in regional workforce development.
Eric joined Froedtert Health in 2016 as vice president of human resources operations and was promoted to senior vice president and chief human resources officer in 2017. Eric came to Froedtert Health with 25 years of health care human resources experience, including vice president of human resources for Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allenton, Pa., a four-hospital, multi-campus health care system with approximately 14,000 employees.
An Ohio native, Eric earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bowling Green State University in Ohio, and a master’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology from the University of Baltimore. He began his HR career as the benefits officer for the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services Center for Human Resources in Washington, D.C.
Sony Jacob
Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer
Sony Jacob, MS, MBA, is senior vice president and chief information officer for Froedtert Health. Sony joined Froedtert Health in 2020. He has more than two decades of information technology leadership, most recently as chief information officer for SSM Health Care in St. Louis, where he oversaw the consolidation of four separate IT organizations and built an electronic health record hosting system that served 21 community hospitals.
Previously, he served as chief information officer for Presbyterian Health Care Services in Albuquerque, N.M., and was also interim CIO for Aurora Health Care in Milwaukee. Prior to that, Sony was CIO for Presentation Services PSAV, a hospitality technology company, and also served as CIO at Tecta America Corporation.
Sony holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in electronics and telecommunications from Mangalore University in India, a Master of Science degree in technology management from Devry University’s Keller School of Management in Chicago and an Executive Master of Business Administration degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in health administration from Central Michigan University.
Catherine Jacobson
President and CEO, Froedtert Health
Catherine Jacobson serves as president and CEO of Froedtert Health, a regional health care system based in Milwaukee, Wis. Jacobson joined Froedtert Health in 2010 as executive vice president of finance and strategy, chief financial officer and chief strategy officer. She was promoted in 2011, becoming president and in 2012, she assumed the CEO role. Prior to joining Froedtert Health, Jacobson spent 22 years at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago in various leadership roles.
Current board appointments include Vizient, United Way of Greater Milwaukee, the Greater Milwaukee Committee and Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce as well as other boards representing partnerships of Froedtert Health. She is also a past chair of the board of the Wisconsin Hospital Association and is currently serving on the board.
Jacobson’s recognitions include Distinguished Executive of the Year from the Junior Achievement of Wisconsin, Wisconsin Business Hall of Fame in 2018. She was recognized as a Women of Influence by the Milwaukee Business Journal in 2013 and received an honorable mention as Executive of the Year in 2014 and runner up in 2016. Jacobson received an honorary degree of Doctor of Healthcare Leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2015 and was recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review 2014 Health Care Leaders Award and one of Becker’s 24 Leading Women to Know in Healthcare.
Jacobson is a member of Healthcare Financial Management Association serving as national chair of the board in 2009-2010. She is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Healthcare Institute. She is a member of the Chicago Network, an organization for women executives and Professional Dimensions in Milwaukee.
Jacobson is a Certified Public Accountant. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Bradley University, Peoria, Ill.
Julie Kerk
Vice President, Clinical Service Lines — Musculoskeletal, Neurosciences and Spine
Julie Kerk, BA, PT, MS, is the vice president for Clinical Service Lines for Froedtert Health. Julie joined Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network in 1998. Over the past 16 years, she has held a variety of leadership positions at Froedtert Hospital, primarily within the Neurorehabilitation and Neuroscience areas. In November 2015, she transitioned to a new role as vice president for Musculoskeletal, Neurosciences and Spine service lines for Froedtert Health.
Julie is responsible for leading strategic growth and tactical operations of the service lines across the health system which includes: an academic medical center, medical college practice, community hospital division and an employed community physician practice. Julie promotes the safety, health and quality of service for patients while guiding the creation and growth of the designated service line programs.
Julie began her career as a physical therapist at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Milwaukee. She received a bachelor of arts in psychology from the University of Nebraska, a bachelor of science in physical therapy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and a master’s degree in human kinetics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Julie is a member of the American College of Health Care Executives.
James Klauck
Senior Vice President of Ancillary Services
Jim Klauck is senior vice president of Froedtert Health Ancillary Services. Formerly the director of Pharmacy Services at Froedtert Hospital, Jim assumed the role of vice president for Froedtert Health Supply Chain Services in 2007, was named vice president of Ancillary Services in 2013 and promoted to senior vice president in 2016. He led the system consolidation effort in Supply Chain and followed that with the integration of system-wide Pharmacy, Rehabilitation and Surgery Center operations. Jim has also played a key role in the organization and leadership of Froedtert & the Medical College's value-based care initiative across the health system.
As senior vice president of Froedtert Health Ancillary Services, Jim oversees several system-wide ancillary services, including Pharmacy, Imaging, Lab, Rehabilitation and Ambulatory Surgery Centers, as well as other ancillary services across all settings, inpatient, outpatient and ambulatory across the health network. Jim has a long record of success with Froedtert Health. In addition to the career path noted above, he has also facilitated expansion of Froedtert Health’s growing retail pharmacy network to eleven different sites; helped launched Froedtert Health’s Information Management Steering Committee and serves on numerous professional boards and committees, including several with University HealthSystem Consortium and Vizient Group Purchasing Organization at the local and national level.
Patti Kneiser
Vice President of Employer Services
Patti Kneiser joined Froedtert Health as vice president, Employer Services, in October 2011. At the time, she was already a familiar figure at Froedtert Health through her previous position as principal consultant for Healthcare Consulting where she provided a variety of management consulting services for Froedtert Health and its members.
In her role as vice president for Employer Services, Patti has responsibility for several related initiatives including: providing strategic direction and leadership for Froedtert Health employer services through Workforce Health and aligning efforts of departments and clinics providing employer-based services; coordinating external occupational health services across the system; partnering with Froedtert Health’s human resource leaders to jointly develop and implement best practices as part of the overall Employer Health strategies; and providing leadership for Business Health Solutions, a component of Integrated Health Network of Wisconsin that provides physicians and health system partners with cost effective tools and programs that improve patient care and outcomes.
Patti holds a Bachelor of Science in medical technology from the University Of North Dakota and a Master of Hospital and Health Care Administration from the University of Minnesota. Her previous positions ranged from entry into health care as a medical technologist to serving as a research assistant at a major university, then moving through the ranks from administrative fellow to assistant administrator at a 600+ bed tertiary hospital, to director of Planning for a multi-hospital system which included both Froedtert Hospital and Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital, to establishing her own consulting firm.
Mark Lodes, MD
Chief Medical Officer, Population Health and Medical Education
Mark Lodes, MD, currently serves as chief medical officer for Population Health and Medical Education at the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network. He provides medical direction for the health system’s Accountable Care Organization and Clinically integrated Network. He is faculty with the Kern Institute and co-director of the MCW Health System Management and Policy Pathway.
Dr. Lodes joined the Froedtert & the MCW health network in 2001 as an internal medicine/pediatrics physician and assistant clinical professor. He served as the executive director of the Froedtert & MCW Primary Care Initiative (PCI) from 2003 – 2007, chief medical officer of Clinical Ventures Group from 2008 – 2013, and president of Froedtert & MCW Community Physicians from 2013 – 2018.
Dr. Lodes is a past recipient of the Milwaukee Business Journal’s 40 Under Forty Award and has been annually recognized since 2003 in the Best Doctors in America publication. He serves on the board of directors for the Wisconsin Statewide Health Information Network, Greater Milwaukee Urban League and Wisconsin Collaborative for Healthcare Quality.
Dr. Lodes is board certified in internal medicine and pediatrics. He sees patients at the Plank Road Clinic in the Tosa Health Center in Wauwatosa.
Dr. Lodes grew up in Neenah, Wis., and now resides in Brookfield with his wife, Amy. He and his wife have three children: Patrick, Caroline and Sam. On weekends, you may see him at a local sporting event or on the golf course.
Teresa M. Lux
President, Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital, and Chief Operating Officer, Community Hospital Division
Teresa M. Lux (Teri) serves as president of Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital and chief operating officer of the leadership team for the two community hospitals within Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network, Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital and Froedtert West Bend Hospital as well as the Emergency Department at Moorland Reserve Health Center in New Berlin. She has responsibility in leading all areas of hospital operations and management. This includes establishing strategic direction; ensuring the presence of safe, quality patient care; applying sound, evidence-based processes that contribute to successful patient outcomes; engaging staff, leaders and physicians; and strengthening partnerships within the communities served by Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital.
Teri began her career at Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital as an acute care nurse practitioner in 1999. She has held various positions within the clinical and support areas; from direct patient care to leadership her contributions have been plentiful. Most recently, Teri has held the role of vice president of Patient Care Services and chief nursing officer for both Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital and Froedtert West Bend Hospital since 2008. Prior to joining the Froedtert Health team, Teri held nursing positions at Evanston Hospital in Evanston, Ill., and Rush St. Luke’s Presbyterian Medical Center in Chicago.
Teri earned her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Alabama and her Master of Science in nursing from Rush University.
Alicia Maitland
Senior Vice President of Finance, Froedtert Health
As the senior vice president, Finance, Alicia M. Maitland oversees accounting; internal controls; financial reporting; tax; payroll; reimbursement; decision support and financial planning; risk management and treasury activities.
Alicia joined Froedtert Health in 2022. She previously spent 10 years at Munson Healthcare, Traverse City, Mich., where she held progressive leadership roles, most recently as chief financial officer. In that role, she oversaw treasury, financial accounting, financial planning, business intelligence, reimbursement and revenue cycle.
Prior to joining Munson Healthcare, Alicia spent 11 years as a leader at Rush University Medical Center, Chicago. She began her career at Deloitte in the tri-state region (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut) and Chicago metropolitan area, where she specialized in health care.
Alicia is a certified public accountant and received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the Wallace E. Carroll School of Management at Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Mass.
Amy Marquardt
Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel
Amy Marquardt, RN, JD, joined Froedtert & MCW health network in 2016 as senior vice president, chief legal officer and general counsel. In this role, Amy sets strategy and policies for the organization and gives advice on key legal issues, legislative initiatives and regulatory changes relevant to an academic health system environment.
She joined the Froedtert & MCW health network from Springfield, Ill.-based Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS). During her four-and-a-half year tenure as vice president and general counsel at HSHS, she standardized processes for contractual legal reviews, participated on the senior strategy team, provided counsel to the HSHS board of directors and leadership on numerous legal transactions, including the HSHS St. Clare Memorial Hospital and HSHS Holy Family and Door County Medical Center affiliations.
Prior to HSHS, Amy spent a number of years at St. Mary’s Hospital in Milwaukee (now Columbia-St. Mary’s) beginning in a nursing role, before earning her law degree and moving into the legal function, ultimately serving as the CSM general counsel.
Amy earned her law degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. She also served as a captain in the United States Army Reserve – Nurse Corps.
Carmo Martella, MBA
Vice President, Chief Technology Officer
As the vice president, chief technology officer, Carmo Martella provides information technology options and recommendations designed to enhance Froedtert Health’s success. His focus is to establish an effective, transparent and productive IT organization focused on providing quality service and support.
Carmo’s IT career spans over 25 years. He brings a wealth of experience from spending time in consulting and executive leadership roles for organizations such as IBM Global Services, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Amtrak, Washington, D.C. He has led organizations through mergers and acquisitions with a focus on technology alignment. Carmo also served as the CTO for a revenue-cycle company and was a board member for an IT consulting company listed on Nasdaq.
Carmo received his Bachelor of Arts from Illinois College, Jacksonville, Ill.; his master’s degree in management information systems (ABD) from the University of Illinois at Springfield; and his MBA from Universidade de Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Carmo enjoys spending time with family and friends, volunteering, boat outings and traveling.
Doug Marx, DO
Chief Medical Officer, Business Development and Practice Integration, Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Health Network
Doug Marx, DO, serves as the chief medical officer, business development and practice integration effective December 2022. In this role, he will lead the recruitment and medical staff services team supporting ambulatory physicians and APPs in the greater Milwaukee market and Froedtert Northeast Medical Group. His focus the growth of Froedtert Health and successful integration of physician and APP practices to the network.
He is a family medicine physician at Germantown Health Center, and continues to see patients there, along with serving in his leadership role. Dr. Marx has bolstered medical group performance metrics by personally achieving top decile consumer satisfaction and quality metrics while caring for a patient panel size exceeding the highest MGMA reported percentile.
Dr. Marx has served in various leadership roles for Froedtert & MCW Community Physicians providing oversight and accountability for operational excellence, service, quality, and financial performance for the medical group. As a thought partner and champion of patient and consumer-centric care, Dr. Marx has worked closely with Inception Health, Medical College Physicians group, the community hospital division, workforce health and the post-acute teams.
He holds the appointment of assistant clinical professor within the Family Medicine Program at The Medical College of Wisconsin.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Dr. Marx attended medical school at Midwestern University-Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, Downers Grove, Ill. He completed his family medicine residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin where he was chief resident. He began his practice in 2000 and has been at the same location throughout his career while the group expanded and eventually joined the health system.
Maureen McNally
Vice President, Governance and Government Relations, Strategic Advisor to the CEO
Maureen McNally is vice president of Governance and Government Relations and strategic advisor to the CEO at Froedtert Health. In this role, Maureen provides leadership for the system’s governance, reputation management and government relations efforts.
Before joining the health system in 2002, Maureen previously held professional roles in the Wisconsin State Legislature and in marketing communications.
Maureen earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master of Business Administration degree from University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She is a member of the Wisconsin Hospital Association Public Policy Council and the Wisconsin Policy Forum Economic Development Committee.
Maureen was raised in Wauwatosa and is proud to work for the health network that connects communities, family and friends to exceptional care.
Amy Miller, MD
Chief Medical Officer, Primary Care Ambulatory, Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Health Network
Amy Miller, MD, serves as chief medical officer, Primary Care Ambulatory effective December 2022. She has been with Froedtert & MCW health network since 2004, and most recently served as the associate chief medical officer of Froedtert & MCW Community Physicians.
Dr. Miller is a family medicine physician practicing at Germantown Health Center, and also previously served as site medical director of both Germantown and Sussex from 2014 – 2016 and the West Bend regional medical director from 2016-2020. Dr. Miller has provided physician leadership in a number of quality improvement initiatives, clinical care process improvement and the design of our new ambulatory clinic sites.
Dr. Miller received her medical degree from MCW and completed her internship and residency at St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee. She received her undergraduate degree in Spanish from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio.
Leigh Anne Mixon
Vice President, Transplant Services
Leigh Anne Mixon joined the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network as vice president, Transplant Services in May 2022.
In this role, Leigh Anne oversees key functions of the Transplant Programs of Froedtert Hospital (heart, lung, kidney, pancreas and liver) and Children's Wisconsin (kidney and liver). She will help build relationships across both hospitals, The Medical College of Wisconsin and organ-procurement transplant organizations to lead a collaborative center of excellence for solid organ transplantation.
Leigh Anne most recently worked as director of Transplant Operations at Northwestern Medicine in Chicago, Ill. In that role, she was responsible for the clinical, financial, regulatory and academic aspects of the Northwestern Medicine Abdominal Transplant program, which included 30 faculty and over 170 staff.
Leigh Anne also served as the division administrator for the Division of Hematology, Oncology, Neuro-Oncology and Stem-Cell Transplantation at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital, Chicago. She’s held positions at Northwestern Medical Group, Chicago, and the University of Michigan Health System, Ann Arbor, Mich.
Ryan Neville, FACHE
President, Northeast Market, Froedtert & MCW Health Network
Ryan Neville, FACHE, serves as the president for the Northeast Market for the Froedtert & MCW health network. He is responsible for strategic planning, operational oversight and future definition of the Froedtert Northeast Market, which services Manitowoc, Sheboygan and Fond du Lac Counties.
Ryan most recently served as the president, Wausau/Weston Region for the Marshfield Clinic Health System. In this role, Ryan had oversight of 1,700 staff across a 99-bed hospital, an ambulatory surgery center, two cancer centers and five regional clinics. Previous roles at the Marshfield Clinic Health System included incident commander for COVID Pandemic, interim president of River Region, and regional president for the Neillsville Region. Prior to joining the Marshfield Clinic Health System, he was the president and chief executive officer at the Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville.
Ryan received his Master of Business Administration from Ohio University. He also has a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Shawnee State University and is board certified in Healthcare Management from the American College of Healthcare Executives.
He has served on the board of directors for the Wisconsin Hospital Association, Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce and the Central Wisconsin Community Advisory Board for the Medical College of Wisconsin.
In his free time, Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife, four adult children and golden retrievers. He is an avid baseball and golf enthusiast.
David Olson
Senior Vice President and Chief Business Development and Growth Officer
David Olson is senior vice president and chief business development and growth officer for Froedtert Health. In his role, David provides executive leadership for employer services, marketing, communications and community engagement. In addition, he serves as Froedtert Health chief strategy officer, leading, directing and executing strategies to support the organization’s growth objectives.
Prior to joining Froedtert Health, David served as president of Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital–Ozaukee and executive vice president for the Columbia St. Mary’s system, both in southeastern Wisconsin. His experience also includes more than a decade as president and chief executive officer for Bay Area Medical Center, Marinette, Wisc.
David received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. He also holds master’s degrees in both hospital and health administration and business administration from the University of Iowa.
David is board certified in healthcare management as an American College of Healthcare Executives fellow. He served on the ACHE Board of Governors as governor from 2014 to 2017 and as the ACHE Regent for Wisconsin from 2004 to 2007. In 2001, he was selected as the organization’s Hudgens Memorial Award winner for Young Healthcare Executive of the Year and in 2018 was named ACHE chairman. In addition to his service to ACHE, David served on the Wisconsin Hospital Association board of directors from 2003 to 2013, and in 2010 he served as the organization’s chair.
Matt Partridge, CPA, MBA
Vice President of Froedtert Health Finance, Ambulatory and Ancillary Services
Matt Partridge, CPA, MBA, joined Froedtert Health as the vice president of finance, ambulatory and ancillary services on September 16, 2019. Matt, in partnership with the Froedtert Health operations leadership team, serves as the lead finance executive responsible for the financial planning, development and financial oversight of Froedtert Health's Ambulatory and Ancillary Services to ensure financial goals are met. He is responsible for supporting finance and business planning in Froedtert & MCW Community Physicians and the health network’s ambulatory businesses in pharmacy, lab, imaging, rehab and ambulatory surgery services.
Matt possesses 15 years of health care finance experience. Most recently, he served as the senior director of finance, clinical operations at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, where he provided financial leadership for operations with $5 billion of operating revenue, 4,000 providers and 15,000 caregivers. Matt’s prior professional experience includes accounting, finance and budget management roles at Suburban Hospital, a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine, in Bethesda, Md., as well as University Hospitals in Cleveland.
Kathi Perlewitz
Vice President of Marketing and Communications
As vice president of Marketing and Communication at Froedtert Health, Kathi Perlewitz is responsible for developing and implementing the multiple approaches and vehicles that attract people and business to the system and its members, such as advertising, brand management, communications, promotions, e-business, community education and referral development.
Following her graduation from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Allied Health, Kathi joined the American Heart Association in Milwaukee where she held a variety of positions, eventually assuming the role of Metro executive director.
Through her work with the Heart Association, Kathi often met and collaborated with members of the Froedtert Hospital management team. She joined the Froedtert Marketing team in 2002 as director of Access Services. As director of Access Services, Kathi worked primarily with referring physicians and hospitals to facilitate patient access to Froedtert Hospital. She demonstrated leadership in creating fiscally sound initiatives that attracted patients and clients to the hospital and became known for her constant focus on customer service and return on investment that still drives her today.
While leading Access Services, she also dedicated time to earn her Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. With those credentials and twenty-two years of management, marketing and program delivery experience, Kathi was well-suited for her leadership role in marketing at the system level, a position she assumed in 2008.
Holly Reilly
Vice President of Human Resources
Holly Reilly is the vice president of operations for Human Resources at Froedtert Health.
In this role, Holly is accountable for HR operations at Froedtert Hospital, the Community Hospital Division and Community Physicians. Holly has more than 30 years of experience in health care human resources and extensive experience in operations.
Holly previously worked for Johns Hopkins Health System in Baltimore, where she served as the director of human resources consulting and labor relations. She has a successful history of supporting other large, complex organizations, including the Cleveland Clinic and the University Hospitals Health System in Cleveland.
Ryan Marks
Vice President of Facility Planning and Development
In his role as vice president of Facility Planning and Development for Froedtert Health, Ryan oversees several key areas. These include operations and maintenance; campus planning, design and construction; remodeling; new construction; real estate development; energy and utility operations; space use; and real estate-related capital planning.
Ryan most recently served as vice president of real estate development for Ryan Companies, Milwaukee, where he was involved in many Froedtert Health projects. These included the Integrated Service Center and Pewaukee Community Hospital. He also held leadership positions at Irgens Development Partners and Grandbridge Real Estate Capital.
Ryan’s background includes rich experience in site selection, financial analysis, permitting, government regulations and acquisitions. He ensures teams and systems are on track to achieve design, budget and scheduling goals.
Ian Schwartz, MD
Executive Vice President, Chief Clinical Officer
Ian Schwartz, MD, serves as the executive vice president and chief clinical officer for the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network and senior associate dean of Quality for MCW. In this role, Dr. Schwartz provides leadership and expertise for clinical quality and safety, disease management, care coordination, clinical integration, clinical informatics and enterprise analytics.
Dr. Schwartz most recently served as senior vice president, Clinical Operations, and chief clinical operations officer for the Yale New Haven Health System, New Haven, Conn. Dr. Schwartz became the inaugural executive director for Care Management at Yale New Haven Hospital and then led the Performance Improvement Department and health system clinical redesign efforts. In those roles, he led operational and improvement efforts for the nation’s fifth largest hospital.
Dr. Schwartz joined the Yale Emergency Medicine faculty in 2006. From 2009 to 2012, he served as medical director of the Yale New Haven Hospital Emergency Department, home to a Level I Trauma Center and host of more than 150,000 patient visits a year.
Dr. Schwartz is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and completed his residency in emergency medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital from which he received the Outstanding Resident Clinician award. Prior to his residency, Dr. Schwartz spent four years as an engagement manager at McKinsey & Company in New York focusing on strategy and operations for its health care and media clients.
Steve Serota
Vice President, Laboratory Services
As the vice president of Laboratory Services for Froedtert & MCW health network, Steve provides leadership to enable the growth of the health network’s Laboratory Services.
Prior to being promoted to his current role, Steve served in the role of president (and previously, chief operating officer), for Wisconsin Diagnostic Laboratories, and Chief Laboratory Officer for Froedtert Health – where he oversaw all laboratory operations for our enterprise. During his tenure, he led the significant growth of our external lab outreach services, including regional and national level expansion, a mission realignment focused on optimizing access to patient centric, high quality, innovative medical laboratory testing, and a full system laboratory integration. In addition, he and his team were instrumental in managing COVID-19 testing, contributing to our health system’s success through the pandemic. Additionally, Steve serves as the chief executive of the National Lab Network, LLC – a collaboration of other academic health system laboratories that partner together to expand specialty testing for clients across the country.
Prior to joining Froedtert Health, Steve served as director of Laboratory Services, Surgical Services, and Specialty Pharmacy for Northwestern Healthcare in Chicago. He is a graduate of Rush University with master’s degree in health system management.
In his free time, Steve enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.
Janice Simmons
Vice President, Chief Culture and Learning Officer
Janice Simmons, PhD, is vice president and chief culture and learning officer (CCLO). In this role Janice leads the Organizational Development and Organizational Learning teams, overseeing the functions of clinical and online learning, clinical support systems and organizational development initiatives. The CCLO is also responsible for overseeing the creation and implementation of knowledge management processes and tools and leading change management throughout the organization.
Most recently, Janice worked as principal director of talent strategy and organization development for Accenture, a worldwide consulting company, where her clients included a Fortune 25 health care company, as well as clients in the airline, automotive and hospitality industries among others. She also held the roles of senior director of human performance for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and vice president of talent and organization for Johnson Controls.
Janice holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from DePauw University, Greencastle, Ind., and a PhD in instructional systems technology from Indiana University, Bloomington. She holds a number of professional certifications including certified cognitive coach and a certificate in neuroscience from the NeuroLeadership Institute.
Siddhartha Singh, MD, MS, MBA
Vice President and Enterprise Chief Quality and Safety Officer, Froedtert & MCW Health Network; Associate Dean of Quality, The Medical College of Wisconsin
Siddhartha Singh, MD, MS, MBA, is vice president and enterprise chief quality and safety officer for the Froedtert & MCW health network. His role expanded in April 2022 from his prior role of enterprise chief quality and patient safety officer for the Froedtert & MCW health network he has held since July 1, 2020. His responsibilities include Froedtert Hospital and Medical College Physicians, as well as Infection Control and Prevention, Denials Management and Clinical Documentation. He will continue as MCW’s associate dean for Quality.
Dr. Singh reports to the enterprise chief medical officer and MCW’s senior associate dean for Quality. He will work collaboratively with leaders to be responsible for the strategic vision with accountability for quality outcomes, process improvement and clinical stewardship. Working in collaboration with operational and quality leaders, he is responsible for enhancing a culture of excellence in the delivery of clinical services and further designing and strengthening a quality infrastructure that advances the overall goal to be the best health system in the nation.
Dr. Singh joined the Froedtert & MCW health network in 2004 as one of our first hospitalists and has served as medical director, associate chief medical officer and chief quality officer for Froedtert Hospital and Medical College Physicians. He received his medical degree from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, completed an MS in epidemiology from the Medical College of Wisconsin and MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In addition, he has extensive training and experience in process improvement, patient safety and operations management. He maintains an active clinical research effort with a focus on readmissions and health care delivery sciences, and continues his clinical work as a hospitalist.
Adam Smith
Vice President, Froedtert Health Decision Support and Financial Planning
Adam Smith is vice president of Decision Support and Financial Planning for Froedtert Health. He was promoted to this role in January 2022, after serving as senior director for Financial Planning and Analysis in 2018. In addition to leading the Decision Support and Financial Planning teams, he provides leadership for hospital site financial performance.
Adam joined Froedtert West Bend Hospital in 2000 as an administrative and finance intern while he attended college. Upon graduation, he joined the finance team as an analyst. When FWBH integrated with Froedtert Health, he joined the system as an analyst in Strategic Planning & Business Development. In 2012, he joined the Medical College of Wisconsin’s financial planning team and held progressive operational and finance leadership roles, ultimately serving as senior director for financial planning and analysis. Since rejoining Froedtert Health in 2018, he and has made significant contributions to the decision support, financial planning and budget processes.
Charles Socci, RN, BSN, MBA
Vice President, Heart & Vascular
As the heart and vascular service line leader, Charles is responsible for achieving growth and value-based strategies for clinical service lines. In addition to working to advance the service line and integrating innovative solutions into practice, Charles works to ensure efficient systems of care, while overseeing the development of leaders and staff.
Charles most recently served as senior director, Cardiovascular Service Line. In that role, he oversaw the business operations of cardiac surgery, cardiovascular medicine and vascular surgery and provided leadership for outpatient cardiovascular services at seven outpatient practices and 15 regional outreach locations.
Charles received his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix and his Bachelor of Science in nursing from Brigham Young University. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children while playing golf, taking in a soccer game, enjoying the outdoors and traveling.
Paul Spencer
Vice President, Managed Care and Revenue Cycle Services
Paul Spencer, MBA is the vice president for Managed Care and Revenue Cycle Services at Froedtert Health. In this role, Paul is accountable for managed care contracting and payer relations for the health system and its clinically integrated network. Paul oversees the revenue cycle function for all of Froedtert Health, which includes scheduling and registration, charge capture and coding and billing and collections.
Paul joined Froedtert Health in 2011. Prior to that he served as vice president of Network Management for UnitedHealthcare, where he led provider contracting and network development for the state of Wisconsin. His experience also includes health care consulting and product development for Solucient in Chicago, IL (now part of IBM Watson).
Paul earned master’s degree and bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Iowa. He is actively in involved in the Healthcare Financial Management Association and currently serves as board president for Family Service of Waukesha.
Paul lives in Sussex with his wife, Tricia, kids Ryan and Lauren, and dog, Benny. In his free time, he loves sports of all kinds such as golf, cross country skiing and a good game of pickup basketball.
Ann Tesmer
Senior Vice President, Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Clinical Operations
Ann Tesmer is senior vice president of Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Clinical Operations. Ann oversees operational leadership of the ambulatory clinics at Froedtert Hospital and at the Froedtert & MCW Community Physicians health centers and sites.
Ann began her career at Froedtert Hospital as a hand therapist. Since joining Froedtert & MCW health network in 1997 she has served in various leadership roles throughout academic and community settings. Most recently she was vice president of Froedtert & MCW Community Physicians and led the community practice’s strategic planning efforts and daily operations. Ann continues this work in her expanded role for the health network’s clinic operations.
She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in occupational therapy from Mount Mary University. She has an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Tom Veeser, RN
Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer, Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Hospital
Tom Veeser, RN, serves as vice president and chief nursing officer of Froedtert Holy Family Memorial. In this role, he oversees hospital operations and collaborates with key local and regional partners to develop and implement strong partnerships aligned with the Froedtert & MCW health network’s broader business strategies.
Tom has more than three decades of progressive leadership supporting service lines, nursing and system quality for integrated health care systems. In his most recent role, he served as chief nursing officer/Quality for Froedtert Holy Family Memorial. Prior roles include service as the chief nursing officer for Ascension Wisconsin, Glendale, Wis.; chief nursing officer for Ministry Health Care, Appleton, Wis., and vice president, Patient Care Services/chief nursing officer, St. Elizabeth Hospital/Affinity Health System, Appleton, Wis.
He received his Bachelor of Science in nursing from Northern Michigan University, Marquette, Mich.; and his Master of Science in nursing from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, Ill.
Tom is active in the community, serving as a board member for St. Mary’s Home for the Aged, Inc. and past president of Pillars of the Fox Valley. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoys hunting, fishing and hiking with his family.
Keith F. Woeltje, MD, PhD
Vice President, Chief Medical Information Officer
Keith F. Woeltje, MD, PhD, is vice president and chief medical information officer for Froedtert Health. In this role, he develops the strategy for and oversees the employment and adoption of clinical information systems. He is board-certified in internal medicine, infectious diseases and clinical informatics. He most recently served as vice president and chief medical information officer at BJC HealthCare, St. Louis.
Dr. Woeltje received his medical and doctorate degrees from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas. He completed his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in infectious diseases at Barnes Hospital and the Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis.
After a year as medicine chief resident at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Dr. Woeltje joined the faculty at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta. He served there as hospital epidemiologist until returning to Washington University in 2004. Dr. Woeltje joined the BJC HealthCare Center for Clinical Excellence in 2010, and was Director of Healthcare Informatics from 2011 until assuming his most recent role as vice president and chief medical information officer for BJC HealthCare from 2016.
Dr. Woeltje is most interested in the application of medical informatics tools to automated surveillance, as well as clinical decision support to reduce adverse events and improve care.
He lives with his wife, Gabrielle, who is a special education reading teacher and an author of children’s books in the Irish language. Their oldest daughter is a pediatrician, their son works in cybersecurity, and their youngest daughter is an environmental scientist and mechanical engineer. In his free time, he enjoys robotics as a hobby.
